I am making a return to Goodreads, Facebook, Amazon, NetGalley, and this new blog to track my reading. Just old-school blogging done when the inspiration hits me. No ads, no extras. I spent a bit of time writing up my static tab texts instead of posts about them, so please read... for more than you would ever want to know about me! I'm 64, a wife, a mother of 3, grandmother of 3, and have one dog and three cats.
I watch BookTube & foodie YouTube often, and listen to true crime & book review podcasts, and read at least a couple of hours a day. Being retired helps a lot to that end. Though even when I was a mom of 3 young kids, 2 of them 19 months apart, I read every day and visited the library once a month. Then I went back to working and always tucked a paperback in my lunchbag. In other words, I'm addicted to reading.
I'll leave sporadic reviews here & there, and may join in weekly features sometimes. I currently use Kindle Unlimited, NetGalley, downloaded Amazon e-books, use Better World Books online for my print books, and the used book store also. I don't know what I'm up to participating in right now, since we are starting to get our house ready to put on the market, and that is always a stressful and tiring endeavor.
For those who remember me, I'm still heavily into detective procedurals (especially from Scotland, England, Ireland!) and thrillers, legal thrillers, with a smattering of women's fiction, small town contemporaries, and nonfiction/memoirs. Besides reading, I like to explore streaming shows on Netflix, Hulu and Prime, and use my brain to complete different types of word puzzles or sudoku. I enjoy looking for healthier spins on my favorite recipes too. I wish I had a craft hobby like knitting, crocheting, or quilting, but I'm clueless and all thumbs.
