I belong to 2 Facebook groups because I don't have any in-person book clubs to join. However I'm moving this summer, so I hope to pick one up when I get there if possible. I'm also thinking of joining more online... but I think I may be satisfied with the wonderful readers I've connected with so far and the titles that I'm collecting constantly!
Online:
Tattered Page Book Club- If you are interested in an online one, this is it! Friendly moderators, helpful readers, lots and lots of titles shared, and there is a constant stream of authors who do "take-overs" for a day and share info on their books and do giveaways. I love it! All/most genres discussed at some point. I love that the group manages to share authors and titles that I would have chosen myself if I'd known. I come away with so many new-to-me authors to try and I love it! Private, message for invite.
Lisa Regan's Reader Lounge- This group is more of a niche because obviously the majority of the talk is about her series character Det. Josie Quinn, but there is also frequent sharing of other similar authors and giveaways from others than just Lisa. The main connector here is love of mystery/thriller series and I've come away with several that I have made go-to reads. Lisa is a warm, funny person and there are tons of photos of Mr. Phillip, her Boston Terrier as he puts up with his mom's busy schedule. Very welcoming and helpful group of folks. Maureen, her assistant, is very friendly and helpful. If you are new to Lisa Regan books you can give this a try and see if you want to read her series. I've been reading her books since her first, so there is a special place in my heart for her as a person too. Private, message for invite.

TV:
I haven't been watching much tv. I do enjoy the occasional reality show: American Idol, The Voice, Survivor, Love Is Blind, The Amazing Race, anything on HGTV . Probably because you can just drop in and don't have to watch every single one, or in order really. I don't watch comedies or rom-coms at the moment. I do watch some docu-series and Netflix specials, typically ones suggested to me.
Food:
I've been in a cooking rut lately, as our youngest child came back home for a year between moves and it's hard to make something everyone eats. We follow a vegetarian diet but I'm overweight because I also eat the occasional junk food. With the stress of the pandemic and now moving, I allowed myself to indulge and I'm paying the price. I have bad knees and have been told I am looking at knee surgery in the not so distant future. I lost weight following Weight Watchers Online but I gave it up to save money thinking I had learned enough to do it myself. Sadly that is not the case. I know what to eat but I don't want to eat that strictly just now. I' m hoping that with summer coming we will have better produce to make some healthy light dinners. Exercise comes harder to me as a disabled person, but I am adding slow walks back into my days to get away from the stress of moving and packing.
